All of these architects in the articles we read explain how cities are born with the question of how they help the people within that city. Rossi in the first article explains about typology…”the typological image of the building is of elements growing along the slope but forming an independent horizontal line above it, the relationship to the earth being shown only by the varying height of the supports.” This quote is a little bizarre, but in the later articles it is explained how there is three forms of typology which have come about, all of which explain ways in which buildings should be built with people in mind; thus, these articles ultimately explain ways architecture and integrating people clash. In Rossi’s analogous city, he explains..”Architects, engineers are beginning to take their hands off the city fills one satisfaction as a citizen.’ He uses his time in Zurich to reminiscing of his time in Rome, recalling works in Rome which helped him explain how artifacts within these cities serve both purpose and heart of the cities. These articles do a great job of showing just how important architecture is when balancing needs of the people who are going to be utilizing that architecture.
