In modernism, Corporate Architecture is one of the biggest parts of the activity. Because of the growing of the technology and economy, North Americas region has been developed during last centuries. This is the main reason why the Corporate Architecture can exist. Otherwise, this activity makes the North Americas one step to a higher place in world economy. (2003, Martin).
Corporate Architecture is a kind of simplification of the architecture. Modularity, replication, and height are parts of the most important elements. These works make me think about a very famous architect, his name is Mies who is an architect always built these kinds of architectures. The idea of infinite space is always presented in these kinds of architecture. These skyscrapers are depended on extending, to the scale of the city, the organicist “science of design” integrating the office into the building. (2003, Martin). According to my previous paragraph, the extending of the city, the economy, and the idea of design makes these skyscrapers nowadays standing not only in Chicago, but all around the world.
Even nowadays, there are more and more Corporate Architectures rising in some developing countries. Like in China or Brazil, more and more skyscrapers are built. And in my hometown Hangzhou, there are few skyscrapers built by SOM and KPF which are the two biggest companies building skyscrapers.

An accurate summary of the past week’s lecture, however I’d like you to reflect on the value of the works associated with Corporate Architecture. You need to develop an argument, a voice, that may just as well run counter to those of the readings. While you did mention Martin’s text, I would have liked to have read more specific responses to the readings.
Just like Rockefeller center in New York City, I don’t stand at the opposite way of the Corporate Architecture, because I think it is the tendency of making buildings, and as I mentioned in my blog post, nowadays most of developing countries are building Corporate Architecture in their major cities.
